  • Collect any number of images that you feel represent you as a person—your personality, aspirations, favourite things, anything at all that makes you you.
  • Put your chosen images together into a collage of whatever size and shape you find pleasing.
  • Share your masterpiece with everyone, in all the places.
  • Maybe nominate other bloggers as a way to tell them, “Hey, you, I think you’re awesome, and we should celebrate that awesomeness.”
  • Share these rules (and maybe the below tips, if you’re feeling helpful).

Tips:

sep

Okay, so I could have spent ALL DAY making this. There’s so many things that I see and I go “THIS IS MY AESTHETIC!!!!!” to. In fact I have an entire Tumblr dedicated to it. I also could have made one that consisted entirely of photos of the woods. There’s probably lots of things I missed out on here like reading (*gasp*), coffee and candles but I figured I’d include things that maybe people don’t know about me? I don’t know. Obviously, reading is a huge part of my aesthetic, but I wanted to try and focus on different things! Anyway, enough rambling. The overall theme is a mess, because that’s my life!!!!!!!!

My Aeshetic.png

Forest with a UFO: Aliens are real and FORESTS.
City with a storm: Storms are beautiful and despite living in a ridiculously small town I am a city girl through and through.
Abandoned house: I spend my time searching for ghosts. Abandoned places are so, so beautiful. Way more beautiful than anything new.
Space: because it’s everything??????? I’ve actually cried real tears over photos of space and I just love going outside and looking up at the sky.
Concert: Nothing makes me feel more alive than live music and music is going to be a part of me forever.
Chokers: I have like 50 of them and I wear them with everything and I have ever since they were popular in the 90s, haha.
Australian Football Legaue: Footy is such a huge part of who I am. I can’t describe my intense love for it and how intense of a supporter I am. I’m that person who actually screams at their TV like the players can hear them.
Defend Pop Punk: I’ve been emo trash since 2005 and I will forever defend pop punk, hardcore, post-hardcore ect types of music. Finding that music made me who I am so it’s a huge part of my life/aesthetic.

tagging

If you’ve been tagged already or don’t want to do it then it’s all chill. I’m super behind on posts so I’ve probably missed heaps of stuff! I’m tagging a BUNCH of people because I’m so weak for seeing what others’ aesthetic is lmao

  1. I love your aesthetic Lauren. This is such an amazing tag and I really enjoy seeing what people come up with for it. I guess you had a lot of images to choose from but the ones you picked are gorgeous. I really love the space one, there are so many pretty images you can pick of the stars and planets up there.

    1. Thanks, Beth! Haha yes. There’s so many things I love and feel like I can relate to! I feel like it’s easier for me to make aesthetics for other things like books ect. than it is for myself 😂 Space is amazing! I could have made an aesthetic entirely for that too 😂 It’s so beautiful and I still can’t believe it’s real!

      1. That’s all right. And that’s great to hear as well. I’ve been tagged in this one as well but I think nooks will have to be one of mine, simply because they are a huge part of my life and as such my aesthetic.
A space aesthetic would be unbelievably gorgeous, but I like you included different images in this as well. 😀

  2. I love your aesthetic! You did an awesome job finding amazing pics to sum yourself up. I love the defend pop punk, it always gets such a bad wrap, but I reckon a lot of people secretly love it. Oh and aliens freak me out lol.

    1. Thank youuuu ♥ Right! There’s so many misconceptions about the genre. Aww, that’s understandable! The concept can definitely be a little scary. I like to think of them as friendly beings though, just wondering what the hell we’re all doing here on Earth 😂

  3. My aesthetic is honestly just memes. 😂😂 Sometimes if I feel fancy I like dark blue things and space, and foggy forests are very nice as well! But yeah I wouldn’t really call it my aesthetic. 😛

      1. I actually love that cause it’s so meta. Like Pepe himself is a meme, and he is breathing memes, and the whole picture is a meme. That blows my mind honestly. 😂

  4. Your aesthetic is so atmospheric, I love it. Also love that you focused on things other than books and reading, since we do already know that about you; now I wish I’d done the same thing!

Heck yes, chokers. I got into the choker game as a preteen in the 90s, too, and distinctly remember one morning when I was deliberating between wearing a black choker, a black almost-choker, and a regular necklace, and asked my mom for input, and she looked at them and replied, “Why don’t you wear all of them?” And I stared at her with enormous eyes and, like, whispered, “I can DO THAT?” My mind (which had only been exposed to Conservative Christian Fashion, and so thought even a black choker was borderline scandalous) was blown. That was my first step into a very gothy adolescence. Thanks, Mom!

I’d be too scared to do any serious ghost-hunting (my belief in the paranormal goes from 0 to TERRIFIED depending on the time of day, my location, and how alone I am), but I love imagining the history behind and the events that occurred within abandoned places. So many people and lives and stories; it leaves me feeling overwhelmed, in a good way. I hope you have plenty of wonderful abandoned places to explore nearby.

Whoops, sorry to ramble. Anyway, excellent aesthetic! I’m so glad you made one. =)

  5. I love space too! It’s something that I have always been fascinated with, and one of my favorite Instagram accounts is NASA’s! I have a custom made nail polish that was inspired by a photo I saw on NASA’s Instagram!

  6. Oh my god I AM SO SLOW. I am totally not improving on my reply rate so far this year, haha! Your aesthetic is sickkkkkk, which I knew it would be anyway so this is no surprise. 😉 Absolutely love the galaxy picture and the rainy window. There’s something so comforting about being inside whilst it rains, you’d totally love living in the UK with all of the drizzly grey weather we get here, lol. Wanna do a swap?! x
