It’s Not as Mean as it Sounds // You’re Not Good Enough Book Tag

• Pick 30 characters and randomly choose 2 at a time using a jar ect. (being the lazy person that I am I did by using a Random Selector because I don’t know what a pen is)
• From the 2 characters selected choose the one that best fits the scenario, thus making the second one “not good enough”

SCENARIO ONE: You only have one more spot on your Spelling Bee team, who would you pick to complete your team?

 

Karou from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series Vs Annabeth from the Percy Jackson series

Okay so this is a tough one because Annabeth is REALLY smart, but Karou has a necklace that literally grants wishes. So I guess this comes down to whether I want to work hard or take the easy way out. I mean I guess there’s a risk that Karou wouldn’t want to waste her wishes, but… I’m willing to take it. So yeah, I’m choosing Karou.

SCENARIO TWO: Both characters want to kill you, which one would you kill first so you have a better chance of surviving?

 

Hermione from the Harry Potter series Vs Suze from The Mediator series

Basically I’m screwed either way. Of course I would get two of the most badass girls ever for this question. I honestly don’t want to kill Hermione, but I mean even though Suze could kick my ass she doesn’t have the power of magic. THIS IS TOO HARD. Can I sacrifice myself? No. Fine. I guess I’ll chose Hermione because there’s nothing I could do about an Avada Kedavra curse. I could try and convince Suze that we could team up and hunt ghosts together.

SCENARIO THREE: You’re on the bachelor/bachelorette and you’re down to these two characters, which one are you going to give your rose too?

(Side note: There’s a certain two characters I chose and if I get them for this question I’m going to laugh SO HARD)

 

Steve Rogers from the Captain America comics Vs Joe from the You series

Okay, I’m kinda laughing because Joe was one of the characters I was talking about in my sidenote. Is this even a question? You bet I’m choosing Cap.

I mean I appreciate Joe’s psychopathic antidotes, but he’d probably end up killing me at some stage. Although he could also possibly kill me for not choosing him. Oh well, I’m sure Steve would save me. Cap could also introduce me to the rest of the avengers and then I can leave him and marry Wanda Maximoff instead 💁🏻.

SCENARIO FOUR: You’ve been chosen for the Hunger Games, who would most likely volunteer in your place?

 

Blue from The Raven Cycle series Vs Luke from the Percy Jackson series

Okay so I wouldn’t let Blue volunteer for me even though she probably would. I actually feel like Luke could survive and he’d probably volunteer to make some kind of statement to Hermes. I mean with some of the shit that’s gone down at Camp Half Blood I’m pretty sure the arena would be manageable.

SCENARIO FIVE: You’re stranded on an island. Which character would you sacrifice to engage in cannibalism?

 

Nimona from Nimona Vs Anna from the Anna Dressed in Blood duology

Uhhhh. Anna’s a ghost so I can just “sacrifice” her and then Nimona can shapeshift into a some kind of water creature and carry us to shore! Plan sorted.

SCENARIO SIX:  You’re the next DC/Marvel superhero (with your own tv show of course), who is your sidekick?

 

Cordova from Night Film Vs Kady from The Illuminae Files series

KADY, OBVIOUSLY. Although I guess Cordova’s skills and ability to not have his face shown in public could help, but there’s no way I trust him. Plus Kady is a badass hacker. Every superhero needs a hacker sidekick.

SCENARIO SEVEN: You’re a manager of an Avocado admiring company, who would you fire for lack of communication skills?

(Side note: Okay, Avocados are disgusting and I would never be manager of a company that admires them.)

 

Vida from The Darkest Minds series Vs Harry from the Harry Potter series

This is tricky because I feel like Vida wouldn’t be great at communicating because she’s more of a punch first, ask later kind of person. Then on the other hand how reliable would Harry be if he has to keep going off to save the Wizarding World? Hmm.

Sorry, Harry. I just feel like Vida could scare people into making better deals. I’m sure you’ve got more important things to be doing anyway.

SCENARIO EIGHT: You’ve just finished a book in which your favorite character dies, which character is most likely to comfort you?

 

Liam from The Darkest Minds series Vs Jen from the Lumberjanes comics

As tempting as it is to be comforted by Liam (that boy is a babe), I’m gonna have to go with Jen. She is so good at taking care of all the girls at the camp. She’d definitely be someone I’d want around if I was upset.

SCENARIO NINE: Ugh, it’s high school. Who would most likely be part of the popular clique?

 

Noah from The Raven Cycle series Vs Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles series

Definitely, Noah. I mean he is an Aglionby student AND a Raven boy. He wouldn’t be the stereotypical mean popular character though. Just someone who everyone wants to be friends with. I feel like Cinder would be similar to me and only want a few close friends and not a huge group. I don’t think she’d want to be in the spotlight either.

SCENARIO TEN: The day has arrived; you’re finally a year older! Who would have the nerve to forget your birthday?

 

Percy Jackson from the Percy Jackson series Vs Ronan from The Raven Cycle series

Okay, as much as I love Percy and Ronan they would probably both definitely forget my birthday. I feel like Annabeth would have a schedule of EVERYONE’S birthday though so she would probably be reminding Percy. So as much as I love my son Ronan Lynch, I’m gonna have to choose him.

SCENARIO ELEVEN: You’ve just found an upcoming BookTube star? Who would it most likely be?

 

Ezra from The Illuminae Files series Vs Zuzana from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series

Definitely Zuzana! She’s hilarious and creative and definitely has a YouTube-esque personality. I would 100% watch her videos and subscribe to her channel.

SCENARIO TWELVE:  Sleepover time! Unfortunately you can only invite one person, who would you invite? 

 

Veronica from the Archie comics Vs Bellatrix from the Harry Potter series

Oh my god. I WANT THE BOTH OF THEM. Veronica and Bellatrix are two of my favourite characters ever. Veronica would be SO MUCH FUN. Although she might get insanely bored at my house because she lives in an actual mansion. Having Bellatrix over could end up causing so much chaos but can you imagine how interesting it would be? It’d definitely be a sleepover to remember.

SCENARIO THIRTEEN: Bam, you’re pregnant. Who’s the father/mother?

 

Gansey from The Raven Cycle series Vs Ruby from The Darkest Minds series

So, I really don’t want kids at all, but this is actually a really hard choice. Like Gansey’s kid would probably be hella smart and artistic, but then Ruby’s kid would be really badass and strong and probably lead a revolution someday. Both would probably cause me excessive amounts of worry if they take after their parents like trying to find dead Kings and being allergic to bees or having the government after them. Can I pass? Can I just be the really cool Aunt to Gansey and Blue’s and Ruby and Liam’s future kids instead?

SCENARIO FOURTEEN: You’ve just written a super important text. Who would ‘see’ it, but not reply?

Bucky Barnes from the Captain America comics Vs Feyre from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series

I want to say Feyre. Like, I’m sure she’ll be busy running the Night Court or whatever she’s doing in ACOMAF that I don’t know about because I haven’t read it yet. Not that I think Bucky would really prioritise my texts either, but you know. I feel like he’d reply quicker than Feyre would.

SCENARIO FIFTEEN: You’ve just woken up and it’s time for breakfast. Your mum’s been replaced by..who?!

 

Harley Quinn from the Harley Quinn comics Vs Thalia Grace from the Percy Jackson series

Okay, so I feel like Thalia would be a great mum because of the whole thing that happened in the PJ series that I won’t talk about because spoilers BUT having Harley as my mum would be so insane and so much fun. I’m gonna choose Harley.
