Make Me Read It Readathon

I did this readathon last year and although it was kind of half unsuccessful I did end up reading and enjoying the winning book (Cinder by Marissa Meyer) and had SO MUCH FUN making all the polls and revealing the answers. I saw that this readathon was back over at Aimal @ Bookshelves & Paperback’s blog and knew that I immediately had to do it again. It’s such a great way to motivate myself to read certain books too.

The readathon is hosted by hosted by Ely @ Tea & Titles and Val @ The Innocent Smiley. Long story short I post a bunch of books I want to read with a poll and YOU GUYS get to vote for what I read!!! The readathon will be running from August 6th through to August 13th. You can start reading as soon as it hits 12am in your timezone, or whenever you’d like.

  2. This is so cool!! I’m going to think about participating. I currently have a few things that I NEED to read but I could probably finish them before the challenge starts…

Aaaah I want to see the results – but I guess we all will see after all what you’re going to read! 😀 Good luck for the challenge, I won’t participate in it since I have Book-Tube-A-Thon to stress about in the last week of July (which is soon now, oh my) and one huge read-a-thon is enough within 3 months or such 😀

I have voted but oh my god Lauren you do not know how hard it was for me to only choose three on this list. 🙂 I did vote for three but you should probably know I would have voted for all of them if I could have. Basically these are all amazing books and I’m sure whatever ones you end up picking for this readathon you’ll really love.

  7. I’m on mobile & I tried to vote (bet you can guess what I was picking heheeeeee) & it wouldn’t work so I’ll try again when I get to a computer. BUT!! This is a cool idea!!! I hope you’re able to read ALL THE THINGS!!!!

  8. Ahh, I totally need to try to participate in this again. I have a lot of review copies I need to try and get through next month, but I’m sure I could at least try to sneak in one other book.
    You have a great list of choices, although I’ve only read one of them. I might end up including This Savage Song in my own list, actually.

      1. I’m considering combining them. I also have a lot of library books taken out at the moment so I’m not really sure how I would factor those in too, haha. I’ll figure it out 😛
        Same! I haven’t even actually finished the series of hers that I’ve started. I still need to read ACOL, haha.

  10. I voted for both CROOKED KINGDOM and THE HATE U GIVE. They’re both incredible books, but be prepared for all the feels (that is, if they win.) Good luck with the readathon, Lauren. I hope you enjoy everything you read. 💖

  12. This is such a fun challenge! I’m in a bit of a slump and also a semi-hiatus, but I kind of want to do this as well, so yeah 😀
    I voted for Crooked Kingdom, because IT IS AMAZING!!! ❤ And also The Hate U Give and Vicious because they're also on top of my TBR so if you read and review them I may stop procrastinating and read them myself too haha 🙂

  13. I participated in this last year and am so excitied to be apart of it this year. Nice to see what choices are on each individual’s poll. I voted for the hate u give simply because I have the book. I haven’t read any of the ones you picked but that’s the one that is more up my alley.

  14. I definitely need to do something like this because I’m awful at deciding what to read. AWFUL I tell you. But all of those sound amazing! I’ve been meaning to read The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet for aaages.

  20. I kind of want to vote for all of them? But I ended up voting for Vicious and Crooked Kingdom, because I’ve actually read those. I think, no matter the outcome, you’ll have a great reading experience though!
