I was tagged by the amazing Fadwa over @ Word Wonders to do this tag. I have done a This or That tag before, but this one has different questions! Make sure to check out Fadwa’s post here and give her a follow.
The rules:
- Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks).
- Thank the blogger who tagged you!
- Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!
Reading on the couch or on the bed?
Bed 100%. Even if I do end up in the most weirdest and confusing positions that have me wondering how the hell I even got there.
Male main character or female main character?
Two of my all time favourite series have male MCs, but I’m going to have to go with female. I just love seeing well written female characters, especially when they’re strong but also incredibly human because being kick ass doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to have emotions. When I find a book that does I literally ascend.
Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?
I don’t really eat when I’m reading, but I’d choose salty/savoury. I’m addicted to rice crackers and Kale chips.
Trilogies or quartets?
I think it depends on the series. My attention span is not a fan of long series, but then my need for never wanting to leave the worlds of my favourite books wishes they’d go on forever. As long as the story isn’t compromised, for the sake of just producing more books, I don’t mind quartets. I’d probably chose trilogies, though.
First person point of view or third person point of view?
First person unreliable narrators are my JAM. I do like third person too, but I think I prefer first person because I love being in the character’s head.
Reading at night or in the morning?
Night all the way. I rarely read during the day. It’s not even because I never have time or anything because sometimes I do. I just prefer reading at night? Who knows how my brain works.
Libraries or bookstores?
Libraries are wonderful, but I’m going to have to say bookstores. There’s just something about them. I love going into bookstores even if I don’t buy anything and when I do buy something (which lbr is 99% of the time) it’s such a great feeling knowing that the book in my hands is mine forever.
Books that make you laugh or make you cry?
Books that make me cry. Is that weird? Probably. I don’t know… I just prefer my books gritty and emotional. I love being so drawn into a story that I physically feel it. If we’re being honest it doesn’t take a lot to make me cry so this qualifies almost any book.
Black book covers or white book covers?
BLACK. It’s one of my favourite colours and funnily enough the colour of my heart. Also, considering 98% of my clothing is black my outfit will nearly always match the book I’m reading 😉
Character driven or plot driven stories?
Ugh. This is hard. I feel like they’re both important? Amazing characters won’t make a bad plot good, but a good plot isn’t going to do anything for me if I hate all the characters. I honestly can’t choose.
I’m being lazy with this one and not tagging anyone specifically. If it catches your interest though and you’re looking for something to post then consider yourself tagged!
I hope you all had a lovely day xx
The bed thing is so relatable hahaha ! Sometimes I find myself in the weirdest, most hilarious positions.

Haha, so glad it’s not just me! I’ll stop reading and just be like “how did I get here?”.

Haha ‘it’s also the same colour as my heart’ 😂 everything looks better in black, I feel ya! Great answers! X

I would choose black but that would mean 9/10 that the spine would have to be black and I LIKE MY SPINES COLOURFUL🙌😝
I would definitely choose character driven over plot driven if the characters are likeable enough.

Everyone tells me that I need more colour in my life and I’m just like, “there’s some grey there…..” haha. I do appreciate how aesthetically pleasing colourful things can be though.
I think If I was forced to choose I’d probably say character too.

Ohh I loved these questions, this is such a fun tag as well! I think so many of my answers would be the same as well. I always read in bed, I can’t really stretch out on the couch because my dog is always taking up most of it!
I always read at night too; I spent way too much time reading, never get to sleep early enough, and I’ always shattered in the morning, it’s a vicious cycle. And I definitely prefer bookshops, mainly because you can actually own the book rather than just borrow it for a few weeks before taking it back.

Great minds think alike 😉 And yes, I love being able to stretch out. Although my dog also takes up most of my room on my bed too, so it doesn’t always work out.
Haha, same here. That is a cycle that’s been haunting me ever since I was a kid and would stay up all night rereading Harry Potter 😂
Yes! It’s the best feeling.

Definitely 😀 my dog isn’t allowed upstairs so as revenge he take up pretty much all of the couch leaving me and my family kinda cramped on the other one.
I just always seem to tell myself ‘one more chapter’ but then it becomes two, three, four more chapters and before I know it I’ve finished the book and it’s 2am 🙂 oh well, probably isn’t something that’s gonna change anytime soon!

They so adorable aren’t they 😍 see I can’t actually drink caffeine, it gives me really bad headaches, so I’m just tired pretty much all day every day! 🙂

Oh no! I don’t think I could function without caffeine, which is probably not a good thing actually, but anyway 😂

There are things I can’t function without, so many things actually 🙂 I drink green tea instead of coffee, helps me stay away from caffeine and control my headaches a little.

Ooh that’s good then! I’ve tried tea, but it’s just not for me. I do like iced tea and chai though!

I’m not a fan of all teas, and I’ve never tried iced tea, but I love green tea and chai tea!

I only tried it recently because I thought I would hate it, but I fell in love with the Mango Nestea and all the Arizona Iced Teas, haha. I’m not a fan of the Peach though, which seems to be the most popular.

Maybe I should give iced tea a try then. I’m not a fan of normal UK tea but I love fruit flavoured ones so maybe it’s something I’ll actually like, like you did 🙂

I definitely agree that reading in bed is much better, even if you do end up in a strange position. 😀
